How write great essay or seminar work

Now you might say that I am probably totally crazy - to school we go just a little over a week (study on university has not even started yet) and I'm babbling about essay or seminar work . :-) No, I am not mad. :-D Lot of people on their blogs wrote the article "Back to school" where they found many interesting ideas how to facilitate learning (and a few harvest also practicing). I'd like you to help them prepare to write the above works. Sooner rather than later-on. :-)

I do not write to you are precise instructions what to such work include: - each of them has its own specifics (otherwise it will look long homework geography and other term paper on the economy), but the basis of each work are in my four building blocks:

1) Topic - unfortunately sometimes we subject themselves choose not. :-(
2) At least marginal knowledge of the chosen topic of the thesis - read the passage from a textbook. :-)
3) Plenty of time to prepare - some of us write the work at the last minute. :-D
4) The resources available on the topic - relevant literature, Internet resources, or media :-)

If you do not have a problem with the building block 1 and 2 (a topic and peripheral knowledge of the subject), we can easily go to the building blocks 3 and 4 (plenty of time and search for available resources) that are linked together. :-) Without sufficient slack you can not choose the right literature and resources they need to go through and get them the necessary information.

And now the main thing - to find the right resources. :-) Today, the Internet is not hard to find a pile of information. The question is which of the information is relevant (true) - always should be supported by the source from where the author of an Internet article drew. This issue does not arise if the information we are looking at libraries (each municipal library now has an electronic database).

Suppose the teacher / professor entered history as the theme works Tomas Garrigue Masaryk to find on this ruler in the library as much information? You have two options:

a) go to the shelves with books and search the name of any mention of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk. - but this method not very successful.

b) find the book (source) through the first computer in the library database and build your list - it can also search through your computer at home and in the library then just go by the created list. :-) This list is called research.

And how to create such a list? Using keywords.

Topic: Tomas Garrigue Masaryk

Keywords: Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, TGM * 1850 - 1937, politician, president, Czechoslovakia, Masaryk (family) ...

Well, now you just need to find books, borrow them, bring home and draw from them the necessary information to write the work.

If  you rewrie some information from the book (paragraph or a sentence), put it in quotation marks and footnote write from what books and which pages are text quoted. It is governed by the rules of citation norm.

High school students and college students have mouhou let you do a search directly from the library - the so-called. Search service (this service is paid and each library is determined by price alone).

I wish you much success in your studies and hope you article will be helpful. :-)

Thank you for reading and sorry for my English. :-)

When I entered the keyword TGM rode out of my database of 279 books.

From the working process back to study

I am a nightmare of bookstore!

I love books. I read anytime and anywhere. Some books I can read more and more. If I have enough time and peace of mind, and I read the book in one day. However, I am a nightmare of bookstore!

Why? The answer is simple. Because I have a terrible habit. :-) When I go  from work at the afternoon, I going around the bookstore. I am walking through the aisles and browsing through the new books. If I book a lot of interesting (let's say for example Da Vinci code), read the first page of the chapter. :-) - At this point in my saleswoman promising start to see a customer, but I soon leave without buying and booksellers are disappointed.

The next morning I sit at the computer for work nadatluji to our library catalog "Da Vinci code" and I go out of my office right on the shelf with the heading "Thriller" where can I find the book (at best). In the worst case, if the book is borrowed and is not on the shelf, to book a reservation and I'll wait until my turn - a librarian or a librarian are not an exception. :-)

Well, if I really like the book, and I deem it absolutely must have, so it is booked through a colleague who is in charge of buying books for the library. :-)

That's what happens when you work in the library. :-)

Have a nice summer day!

One book is not enough :-)

But I gave the task to read it only at bedtime. :-) For sure, but I borrowed a trilogy of historical novels section. Archer Books, Inquisitor and Heretic by Bernard Cornwell.Last week I said that when I have the vacation, so I borrow some good book of fiction. For librarian as me it is nothing easier. :-D

About lunchtime I locked my office and went to the shelves as a reader. Even as a child I loved browsing among the shelves when I slowly read the names of the books - is it for me its charm. :-) Part of the library with educational literature, I deliberately missed - in your desk at the office I had had a decent stack of borrowed books from this section of the library (travel books, handicrafts and books devoted to the history). :-D

The slow pace I got to the aisle with thrillers and fell into my eye Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

I took the book with a trained eye and I thought that: "+/- 400 pages - that it may be sufficient for a week my holiday." I headed to the computer, he wrote down the book on their library card and I happily quietly plunged back into the office. :-)

When I arrived home after work, I pulled a book from his bag and laid it on the table and sat for a moment to my notebook. It was about 17: 00p.m. For half an hour later I taken the book in my hand and reading and reading and reading ... gave a dinner ... read more and more ... I ended up at 22: 00 p.m. evening. And I thought that the book got up to holiday on the last week on August! - hmm, well, so nothing, well. :-D But I just could not look away. :-)

The next day I returned the book and I borrowed next book from Dan Brown' Angels and Demons.

Service at the information desk - another story from the library :-)

Today I was in the library service for the information counter, like every week. :-) So, one story from this place. :-)I arrived for the round counter information, beautifully I sat down, turned on the computer and the necessary programs and wait for the first reader who will come to me.My work on this niche lies in the fact that the reader groping visit me and I'll help you to choose a book, or he'll find a book you can not find.He approached me old woman (just 70 years) for French crutch. I invited her to be with me perched on a chair (she was glad that she can relax), and we started to advise what would you like to borrow. She wanted something from humour. In the database, I sought out books from humour books and old woman said she wants to choose.I found the book in electronic database , I copied the necessary information from the database, smiled for old woman and said:"I'll find it for you. Keep me a moment here." and I crawl out from the counter table.

I did not know, however, what this cause. Old woman horribly started to rise and almost started to run (as with those crutches was not good enough :-)) and still I apologised that it finds itself, that would not bother. :-)At that moment it occurred to me. People who are sitting / standing in front of the counter and talk to me, to see what fits. Rather - to think that I was sitting on a chair.
Oversight . I sit on the elekric wheelchair, but under the counter simply can not see. :-)

Well, it took me some time before I assured she, that it is my job and that I'm not a problem. She convinced her to sit back down, handed her crutches and I took off to find her the book I had brought the book and we have talked a moment. :-)Since then, this lady my regular visitor! :-)

Life at the library

Because I have been work in the library for five years, so hopefully I can call for the librarian :-)

I decided to establish a new section Life at the library. The library is at first look a quiet and peaceful place, but appearances are deceptive. :-)

At the end of one little joke  from library.
