Druids

Spiritual Celtic religion were the druids. So the question is: Who were the Druids / druidesses? The Druids we know very little. They are, among others, often portrayed with a golden sickle in one hand and mistletoe in the other. According to the American scientist Paul Lonigana can define groups Druid features:

Caesar in his book Commentarii de Bello Gallico states that if someone wanted to be a druid had to study up to twenty years. Literal citation reads: "Reports say that schools druids are memorized many verses, and why are some persons remain twenty years." The Druid rites, many do not know. Just what we had left from contemporary records of Celtic myths and archelogie, but it is already mentioned above. Druids used nature. They watched the sun, moon and stars, lived in the forests ... you could say that they were connected with nature. ...
